K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's fans ― known as BLINK ― have protested against the quartet's agency YG Entertainment for alleged lack of promotion and poor management.
The protest was made using a truck carrying the sign “BLINKS DEMAND FOR BLACKPINK” near the YG Entertainment building in Seoul on Monday.
The group's second EP “Kill This Love” was released April 5, climbing to No. 24 on the Billboard 200. BLACKPINK was the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella, a popular music festival in California.
Although YG Entertainment said each member would release solo tracks, the group did not release a new album after the second EP.
The group debuted on Aug. 8, 2016, but has only released 13 songs, prompting fans to take action.
In response, YG Entertainment said Monday the group is working on a new album that will be released early next year.
