K-pop boy band Boyfriend members will part ways eight years after the group's debut.

On Friday, the group's agency Starship Entertainment announced on Twitter that all members agreed to the group's disbandment.

"We thank all of the fans who have shown relentless love and support for Boyfriend," the agency said in a statement.

After the announcement, members also took to Instagram to post handwritten letters thanking fans for their eight years of unwavering support.

The six-member group debuted in 2011 with the single "Boyfriend." Since then the group's hits include “Don't Touch My Girl,” “I'll Be There,” and “Janus.”
