K-pop superstars in the making? BTS's 'brother group' to debut next year

Will the “brother group” of BTS succeed the K-pop superstars?

The agency of K-pop sensation BTS, Big Hit Entertainment, will reveal a fresh K-pop boy band at the beginning of next year.

Details of the group ― such as its name and number of members ― have not been determined, according to NewsEn, Tuesday.

The members are all trainees of the agency and the new team has no connection to a global auditioning program that is expected to be run by a Big Hit and entertainment giant CJ Group joint venture. Issues surrounding the joint venture are reportedly still under discussion.

It has taken six years for the agency to give birth to a fresh band, since the debut of BTS in 2013. Thanks to BTS, the new group is already the center of attention.

Big Hit Entertainment was founded in 2005 by producer Bang Si-hyuk, who is company CEO. It manages artists including BTS and singers Lim Jeong-hee and Lee Hyun.
