Controversial Korean webtoon artist Yoon Seo-in wrote anti-refugee comments on his Facebook Wednesday, rebutting actor Jung Woo-sung's support for asylum seekers.
“Why do you ask other people to be a hope (for refugees)?” Yoon wrote. His comment was a response to the activist for refugees and Korean actor Jung Woo-sung's post on his Instagram the same day as a celebration of the June 20 World Refugee Day.
“If you want to say such things, you should take in some of them and set an example,” Yoon said.

Jung had uploaded the UNHCR Representative in the Republic of Korea's statement and a photo of Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Bangladesh, commenting that Rohingya refugees from Myanmar have been living in the world's largest refugee camp with little hope of returning to their homes.
“Globally, some 68.5 million people are displaced, with 16.2 million people being forced to flee in 2017 alone,” the actor wrote. “Please stand
today in understanding and solidarity.”
The webtoon artist has been mired in controversy many times, including for a caricature of child rapist Cho Doo-soon.
