K-pop star G-Dragon fell into a hole opened on the concert stage in Bangkok Saturday.
His many fans might have been shocked after watching a viral video of him falling. But he is OK -- the K-pop star had dinner with staff after the sold-out concert, according to G-Dragon’s agency, YG Entertainment.
The accident happened during G-Dragon’s second Bangkok concert, which was a stop on his world tour “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E.”
While he was performing, a hole for a lift suddenly opened up behind him. When G-Dragon turned around and took a step, he fell into it.
“The accident happened because G-Dragon lost timing,” an YG official said. “The hole opened on time and G-Dragon was supposed to come under the stage using the lift, but he missed the timing because he was too much into the performance.”
The official said G-Dragon was uninjured.
It was G-Dragon’s last Bangkok concert on his world tour. He will start a series of concerts in the United States this week, with the first in Seattle on Tuesday.
