Actor and filmmaker Yoo will direct and star in the short film “Talk to Her,” about an aspiring Korean-American filmmaker falling in love with a struggling actress.
Sean Richard, who left a strong impression on the audience with his role in the film “Operation Chromite” (2016), and Cho Hae-jung, who recently starred in the tvN series “Our Blues” (2022), will star as co-leads. Actor Lee Bum-soo and Yoo will make brief appearances in the romance film.
“'Talk to Her' has finally wrapped up filming, and the project has now entered the post-production stage. We will be able to share the final film with the audience in the latter half of this year,” the production company said in a statement.
Yoo has helmed short films “The Bike Boy” (2003), “How Does the Blind Dream” (2005), “Out of My Intention” (2007) and “Invitation” (2009) as well as the feature-length film “Mai Ratima” (2013).
Yoo began working as a fashion model in 1997, and that led to his first acting role the following year. He has worked with film auteurs like Heo Jin-ho (“One Fine Spring Day” 2001), Park Chan-wook (“Oldboy” 2003) and Hong Sang-soo (“Woman is The Future of Man” 2004). He will next be seen in the Disney+ series “Vigilante.”
