Hollywood star Angelina Jolie and two of her sons ― Maddox and Pax Jolie-Pitt― had a campus tour at Yonsei University, one of the most prestigious colleges in Korea, Saturday.
After her visit was disclosed to the public, it was rumored that her eldest son, Maddox, 17, has applied to Yonsei University for admission in 2019, and that he already had an interview on the day of tour. Maddox is known to have been interested in K-pop and is learning Korean.
The college, however, denied the rumor.
“Maddox neither applied for admission nor had an interview,” a spokesperson of the school said. “As far as we know, the Jolie family had a campus tour owing to personal interest.”

Jolie applied for the campus tour herself, according to Yonsei. There was no special “protocol” during the tour, which was guided by a student ambassador.
As a United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNHCR) special envoy, the actress also had meetings with Korean actor Jung Woo-sung and the justice minister during her visit to converse about refugee issues in Korea. Jung has been a goodwill ambassador of the UNHCR since 2014.
Jolie left Korea on Sunday.
