DC Comics and Naver Webtoon have announced the launch of three original comic series featuring DC's iconic characters starting next month, as part of their expanding partnership to introduce the unique universe from the global entertainment titan's intellectual property in the form of webcomics.

Last September, their first collaborative project, “Batman: Wayne Family Adventures,” which presents a slice-of-life narrative revolving around Batman's struggles to become a father figure to a young group of vigilantes, became a smash hit. The webtoon's episodes are currently rolled out weekly in eight different languages and have surpassed 40 million views in total worldwide.

Riding on the popularity of this collaboration, three new titles ― “Vixen: NYC,” “Red Hood: Outlaws” and “Zatanna & The Ripper” ― will be launched this year, starting with “Vixen: NYC” slated for May 26.

“Vixen: NYC” revolves around a college student, Mari Jiwe, who has to navigate her life in New York as a young adult as well as a superhuman.

“Red Hood: Outlaws” will feature an unlikely group of underrated heroes and outlaws, who must lead their battles against DC's supervillains.

“Zatanna & The Ripper” will center on magician Zatanna and John Constantine, who join forces to uncover the identity of 19th-century English serial killer Jack the Ripper.

“The DC and (Naver) Webtoon partnership is an exciting opportunity to explore new genres with DC's iconic Super Heroes and Super-Villains, telling new stories that both new and old fans can enjoy,” Nancy Spears, DC's vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement.
