An A-lister Chinese female BJ with millions of followers and who looks like a popular Korean actress is gaining plenty of fans across the West Sea.

Feng Timo, an online megahit with more than 17.5 million followers on

Chinese user creative contents (UCC) video platform DouYu

, is the latest Chinese starlet to shine in Seoul.

Korean netizens have shown their interest in recent blogs. One netizen said on a Naver blog on Sept. 30 that he “came across her when I was aimlessly navigating YouTube and was mesmerized by the cutie with impressive singing skill.” Another post said the blogger frequently watched Feng's broadcasts because she “sings fantastically.”

Another avid Korean fan revealed Feng's professional background in a blog. According to the post, Feng, 27, is an internet contents creator, singer and actress. Starting online broadcasting in 2014, the talented and attractive woman quickly began to attract attention in China. Since then she has appeared on television many times and debuted as a singer. Her latest professional portfolio also says she is an actress.

Feng has also influenced Korea, because some netizens say she looks like actress Park Bo-young. The claim spread online and eventually to media outlets.

Videos show Feng singing trendy songs in front of computer and on the street. Some videos also show her

singing K-pop songs, including those by BigBang and Bolbbalgan4

. This has attracted Korean fans, who believe she is probably a pro-hallyu (Korean wave) Chinese.

Feng is an example of rising female BJs across Korea and other East Asian countries who target a large number of netizens in China.

Some Korean BJs who quit or were banished after performing on Chinese platforms have returned to certain Korean UCC sites that set a relatively high censorship bar in terms of adult content, according to Korean bloggers.
