Hana Bank was named the 2024 Best Bank in Korea by Global Finance, a financial monthly publication based in the U.S., the lender said Sunday.
This is the eighth Best Bank award for Hana, in addition to 23 previous awards obtained for best foreign exchange service and best trade financing service.
Hana Bank leads the local foreign exchange and trade financing market, as illustrated by signing of foreign exchange trading contracts with 1,193 banks in 105 countries around the world, the U.S. magazine said.
Hana’s innovative digital services provided through its extensive global network and user-centered services were highly regarded, it added.
“We will take a leap forward to becoming the best foreign exchange and trade financing service provider, cemented by trust of customers around the world amid our continued efforts toward innovation,” a Hana official said.
Hana has a global network of 202 offices in 26 regions across the globe. It opened an office last month in Budapest, Hungary, to aid its expansion in central Europe.
