Shinhan Bank said Sunday that it is offering a wide range of retirement plans to customers; from designing their financial structure to managing their assets.

Shinhan said customers can understand their level of preparations for life after retirement through its program named S-Future Design. The program shows how much customers have accumulated for retirement and flows of their assets by indices, immediately helping them understand their level of preparation.

Based on the data, the lender advises customers to invest in financial products with low risk and middling returns. They are pension-type, retirement-focused investment products having measures to reserve the principal.

Shinhan said its retirement plans are part of Shinhan Financial Group’s mission to help customers with a stewardship titled “Compassionate Finance for the Future.”

“Providing alternatives for pensioners is our duty as bankers as well as producing a chance for group growth,” said Shinhan Financial Group Chairman Han Dong-woo in a statement.

Shinhan Bank CEO Cho Yong-byoung echoed Han, encouraging employees to make a win-win strategy.

“Let’s make a partnership between customers and the bank by completing the mission of compassionate finance,” said Cho in a statement.

He said the lender will help customers design their future with the plans.

The S-Future Design account has drawn 1.3 million customers so far since its launch in April thanks to its differentiated services. The account holders can get a Future Design Credit Card which offers discounts at clinics, gas stations and supermarkets. More than 30,000 customers have consulted with the lender through the S-Future Design program, and the number of requests is on the rise, according to the lender.

Customers can also check out their life after retirement by themselves through Shinhan’s website. The bank is developing a mobile version of the program which will be introduced soon.

The lender dispatched 893 consultants focusing on the future design to its 756 outlets and 25 wealth management centers nationwide. Shinhan also runs an education program for pensioners titled Couple Retirement Class since April which offers both financial and non-financial advice.
