Woori Bank said Friday that it has expanded its one-stop banking service by increasing the number of so-called integrated financial centers to 48 from four.

The centers offer retail and corporate banking services for corporate customers.

The bank said that the move was aimed at improving efficiency in the sales organization and supporting the government’s effort to nurture SMEs.

“Before we adopted such integrated services, we ran service centers that only dealt with family-owned conglomerates or corporations with assets worth 100 billion won ($89.07 million) or more,” said a Woori Bank spokesman.

“SMEs were excluded from becoming members for such service centers, and as they grew enough to become members, they had difficulty in getting related financial information in advance.”

The 48 centers are concentrated in industrial complexes across the country, including Seoul, Busan, Ulsan, and other major cities where SMEs operate factories.

The bank also said it has launched as wealth management consulting service to meet rising demand for services related to tax management and real estate investment.

“We expect to provide a better service with an integrated network for all kinds of customers,” it said.
