KB Financial Group Chairman Euh Yoon-dae made it clear Monday he would not resign before his term ends in July, despite other chiefs of public firms and financial institutions having quit since the inauguration of President Park Geun-hye.

When asked by reporters during the group’s job fair in Seoul whether he would finish his remaining term, Euh said, “Of course.”

The response came a day after Woori Financial Group Chairman Lee Pal-seung tendered his resignation. Both Lee and Euh, aides to former President Lee Myung-bak, had been pressured to step down by the new government.

KDB Financial Chairman Kang Man-soo also recently quit.

As to whether he will seek another term, Euh said that would be decided by the group’s directors, not him.
