Xiaomi Korea has appointed Summer Peng as its new general manager, as the company seeks to strengthen its leadership and expand its presence in the Korean market.

Peng brings extensive experience in regional business management, channel operations and global e-commerce. She previously led Xiaomi’s operations in Hong Kong and Macau, where she helped expand market share, refine multichannel retail strategies and reinforce the company’s premium brand positioning.

She also oversaw cross-border e-commerce initiatives, contributing to Xiaomi’s competitiveness across international markets.

Before joining Xiaomi, Peng held various roles at major tech companies, including Huawei, Skyworth and Oppo, working across channel sales, product operations and consumer-focused strategy.

“Xiaomi’s core value lies in delivering high-quality products that resonate with consumers at reasonable prices, while pursuing continuous growth through technological innovation,” Peng said.

“In Korea, we aim to help more consumers experience Xiaomi’s differentiated technologies and smart ecosystem through a portfolio spanning a wide range of product categories and prices, while driving sustainable growth in partnership with local partners.”

The company said it aims to strengthen both product competitiveness and channel capabilities in Korea with the new leadership change, while further deepening collaboration with local consumers and partners.

Xiaomi Korea has continued expanding its product lineup, recently launching new smartphones such as the Xiaomi 17 series and POCO X8 Pro series, as well as artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) products such as the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, Xiaomi Pad 8, Xiaomi Tag and Xiaomi Watch 5.

The company has also broadened its distribution network through online platforms such as its official website, Naver and Coupang, while operating eight retail stores nationwide.

Beyond product sales, Xiaomi Korea has also focused on strengthening its customer service. Last year, the company opened its first dedicated after-sales service center in Korea at Seoul Station. It currently operates three service hubs that offer retail and repair services.
