Samsung SDS expects over $651 mil. operating profit in 2025

Samsung SDS estimated Thursday that its annual operating profit will be 957.1 billion won ($651.18 million) for 2025, with revenue of about 13.93 trillion won.

The estimates represent an increase of 5 percent in operating profit and 0.7 percent in revenue year over year.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the company recorded about 3.54 trillion won in revenue, down 2.9 percent from the same period last year, while operating profit climbed 6.9 percent to 226.1 billion won.

By business segment, the IT service division posted annual revenue of 6.54 trillion won, up 2.2 percent from the previous year. Its cloud business drove the growth with a 15.4 percent surge to 2.68 trillion won.

The cloud service provider segment saw revenue growth driven by increased Samsung cloud platform and graphics processing units as a service (GPUaaS) usage, amid the expansion of generative artificial intelligence (AI) services, as well as expansion of high-performance computing and cloud network services.

The managed service provider business also contributed to revenue growth, supported by a shift to the cloud in the financial sector, generative AI projects in the public sector and expanded global solution-based projects.

The logistics segment recorded revenue of about 7.39 trillion won, down 0.5 percent year over year, while operating profit fell 6.2 percent to 130 billion won as ocean freight rates continued to fall.

The company’s digital logistics platform Cello Square saw a 27 percent surge in clients, compared to the previous year, with over 24,600 companies using the service as of the end of 2025.

Looking ahead, Samsung SDS plans to continue expanding its AI and cloud businesses by leveraging its full-stack capabilities spanning infrastructure, platforms and solutions.

The company plans to launch GPUaaS products based on Nvidia's latest B300 GPUs to meet the growing demand for GPUs and data centers, while also focusing on public-sector disaster recovery projects centered on its Daegu data center.

In AI platforms, Samsung SDS will build on its exclusive ChatGPT Enterprise reseller partnership with OpenAI to support clients to adopt and expand generative AI solutions across industries.

In logistics, the company said it will further strengthen its air freight and contract logistics businesses, while applying AI-driven automation to operations and warehouse management.

Meanwhile, its board has approved increasing its dividend by 10 percent to 3,190 won per share to enhance shareholder value and returns, enabling the company to meet the criteria for high-dividend stocks.
