NEOWIZ’s action role-playing game Lies of P: Overture has won the Best Downloadable Content (DLC) award at the New York Game Awards 2026, the Korean developer said Tuesday.
The New York Game Awards is an annual video game award ceremony honoring the previous year’s contribution to the industry. Presented by the New York Videogame Critics Circle, this year’s edition celebrated its 15th anniversary at the SVA Theatre in New York, Sunday (local time).
Lies of P: Overture competed for the honor against Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker, Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Star-Crossed World and a number of other titles.
Previous winners in the same category include Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree in 2025 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in 2024.

Lies of P: Overture was praised for deepening the original game’s distinctive universe, with critics noting that it delivered a standalone experience through its original narrative and refined combat action.
NEOWIZ said the award reflects the growing momentum of the intellectual property (IP) of Lies of P, as it continues to receive global awards and critical acclaim on its way to becoming a sustainable franchise.
“The award proves the outstanding development capability of Round8 Studio (a NEOWIZ studio),” a NEOWIZ official said. “We will continue to introduce a range of new PC and console titles, including the next series in the Lies of P franchise, as we seek to build more successful IPs.”
Lies of P: Overture was released in June 2025 and earned scores of 85 on Metacritic and 86 on OpenCritic score. It also won the Best Game Expansion award at the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards in the United Kingdom and the Best DLC or Expansion award at the 2025 Premios 3DJuegos in Spain.
In Korea, the title won the third-place prize and the technology and creation award at the 2025 Korea Game Awards, marking the first time a DLC title has received such honors.
