LS Cable & System and LS Eco Energy are rapidly expanding their footprint in the global data center power infrastructure market with a series of major contract wins with tech giants in the United States and Southeast Asia amid the rise in global investment in power for data center infrastructure.

The companies have shown notable performance in sales of bus ducts, which is a key equipment used to supply large-scale power for data centers. LS Cable & System, the leading bus duct supplier in Korea, operates its supply chain with both its domestic factories as well as LS Eco Energy’s plant in Vietnam.

In early November, LS Cable & System inked a three-year frame agreement with a leading U.S. tech company, which is expected to be worth over 500 billion won ($341 million). The actual supply volume may grow, considering that the U.S. company continues its global data center expansion.

LS Eco Energy is continuing to build its presence in Southeast Asia, recently supplying high-capacity bus ducts to a 50 megawatt hyperscale data center project in Indonesia. This is one of the largest ongoing data center investments in the region.

As Southeast Asia continues to emerge as a prime destination for future tech giants’ data center investments, it will drive further growth opportunities for LS Eco Energy.

“We’re currently discussing bus duct supply deals with multiple global big tech companies in addition to our major U.S. client,” the company’s official said. “The completion of our Mexico factory will boost our ability to serve the North American market.”

Meanwhile, LS Cable & System aims to build a manufacturing hub connecting Korea, Vietnam and Mexico, allowing them to meet global tech giants’ demands for timely delivery and high quality.

Bus ducts, built with plate-type conductors inside a metal casing, offer less power loss and heat than conventional cables, making them the ideal solution for high-density server environments in artificial intelligence data centers.
