Naver Webtoon will offer 15 of its original webtoon series as exclusive content for France’s high-speed trains TGV INOUI and OUIGO starting July 1, the web comic platform said Monday.

Naver Webtoon will provide the content during the summer travel season under its partnership with Moment, an operator of the in-train entertainment platform for France’s high-speed trains. A total of 15 webtoons, including nine Korean titles and six French titles, will be available for passengers.

This is the first time that webtoons will be included in TGV’s in-train entertainment system, which provides various digital content to passengers who connect to the train’s dedicated network via mobile devices or PCs.

Korean titles include “Marry My Husband,” “Death: Rescheduled,” “Mythic Item Obtained” and “Killer Peter,” while available French titles include “Blood in Love,” “Capitaine Zorgue,” “Extra-Coloc” and “Lillow Fast Kitchen.”

Many passengers tend to enjoy the in-train content in France due to limited network access during train rides, and the company sees this as an opportunity for travelers to discover webtoons during the vacation season.

According to France’s state-run railway company SNCF, more than 104 million passengers used TGV trains in 2023. By exclusively providing webtoons on TGV trains, Naver Webtoon said it will consolidate its position as the No. 1 webtoon platform in France.

“As we plan to add more titles in the future, we will take this opportunity to help French users naturally engage with webtoons and discover their unique appeal,” Naver Webtoon EU head Kim Yeo-jeong said.
