LG CNS said that it will collaborate with the Yonam Institute of Technology, a specialized college in engineering established and supported by the LG Yonam Education Foundation, to cultivate enterprise resource planning (ERP) software experts, the company said Thursday.
The company said that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Yonam Institute of Technology for the cultivation of ERP professionals. Through the partnership, the school will establish a field for the study of German software company SAP's enterprise software.
“Under the partnership, third-year students can choose SAP as their minor. The curriculum is comprised of an introduction to SAP, operation of cloud ERP infrastructure, advanced business application programming and business technology platform programming,” LG CNS said.
LG CNS is a global strategic partner of SAP, a Germany-based computer software giant with the highest global market share of ERP.
Based on the technical skills and know-how accumulated through building and operating ERP systems with SAP's software, LG CNS will support the cultivation of ERP professionals at the Yonam Institute of Technology. LG CNS will continue its collaboration with the school to develop a curriculum in the field of digital transformation as well.
Prior to this, LG CNS signed a business agreement with Seoul National University last June and conducted internships for graduate students in the Department of Statistics. Through a business agreement with Korea University, it established a new employment-linked contract department in the graduate school program.
In addition, they conducted internships in the security and software fields with Chung-Ang University, and operated internship programs in the field of smart logistics with Konkuk University, Inha University and Korea Aerospace University.
“Together with Yonam Institute of Technology, we will focus on cultivating experts with global-level ERP capabilities to contribute to the innovation of customer value,” LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-gyoon said.
