Netmarble will display three games currently in development to fans at the G-STAR game showcase, held in the southern port city of Busan next week, the game company said Thursday.
The company held a preview event of its three games – “Demis Re:Born,” “RF Online Next” and “The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin” ahead of the country’s largest game showcase, citing exotic game worlds and interesting combat systems as highlights.
Netmarble sees the G-STAR game showcase, which will be held from Nov. 16 to 19, as a chance to let more fans experience its new games. It will exhibit 170 game stands, allowing visitors to try out new games as well as various events such as prize drawings.
Chris Park, producer of Netmarble F&C, a game-making subsidiary of Netmarble, said “Demis Re:Born” is composed of compelling characters, solid scenarios and intense combat action.

“At G-STAR, we will focus on introducing the attractive characters of 'Demis Re:Born,'” Park said, adding that the game is being developed based on the company’s recently released “Grand Cross: Age of Titans.”
“The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin,” an open-world role-playing game, is being developed as a multiverse original story utilizing all the universes of “The Seven Deadly Sins.” The game will feature a variety of game modes based on events to immerse players in the story.
“The game is being developed as a multiverse original story because of its ability to create scenes that cannot be seen in the original game,” Koo Do-hyung, producer of Netmarble F&C, said.
“RF Online Next” is a sci-fi role-playing game, which will be played on both PC and mobile. The game inherits the universe and chronology of the original RF Online and centers on a war between factions in space. "The large-scale war will be the core of the game,” Hong Kwang-min, producer at Netmarble N2, said.
Netmarble expects these three new games will help strengthen the company’s fundamentals, as it has posted operating losses for seven straight quarters from the first quarter of 2022. On the same day, Netmarble announced its July-September earnings, saying it logged 21.9 billion won ($16.7 million) in operating losses.
However, Netmarble said the deficit narrowed from the 38 billion won recorded in the same period last year. The company said the improved result was because of the recent release of new games, including “Tower of God: New World" and "Seven Knights Idle Adventure,” that have been well received in the market.
