South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has ranked first in a recent consumer satisfaction survey in Russia, a report showed Tuesday.
According to the report by global consultancy KPMG, Samsung topped the list of 100 brands with the best consumer experience by earning 8.24 points out of the full 10.
Samsung was trailed by U.S.-based Nike Inc. with 8.09, French cosmetics and beauty brand Yves Rocher with 8.08, Japanese electronics maker Sony with 8.05 and American credit card issuer Visa with 8.03
The survey of 5,000 Russian consumers evaluates six categories, including approach to customers.
"Receiving the highest scores in five out of The Six Pillars from all brands makes Samsung retain the leading consumer experience brand in 2018, and the main factors contributing their high results is instore experience," the report said.
"As one of the leaders in the Russian consumer electronics and digital markets, Samsung has established a trustworthy reputation over many years. Samsung retail's high integrity is inseparable from the Samsung brand image."
It marks KPMG's first consumer satisfaction survey in Russia, though the consulting firm has conducted such surveys in major economies worldwide since 2010.
Last year, Samsung was named the most loved brand in Russia for the eighth year in a row in a survey carried out by Russia's Online Market Intelligence.
Samsung garnered 18.3 percent of support from 1,500 respondents living in the country's cities with over 1 million people, followed by Germany's fashion brand Adidas AG with 11.1 percent and Nike with 9.6 percent. (Yonhap)
