Golfzon, a global leader in the virtual golf industry, said Thursday that it had signed an agreement to supply golf simulators to Thailand.

According to a statement, Golfzon signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chunbok Company in Thailand to supply at least 100 golf simulators over the next two years starting Dec. 16.

Established in 2008, Chunbok Company is a computer and IT provider dedicated to providing consulting services to private and government organizations in Thailand in relation to software programs and development, and also supplies IT facilities to multiplex cinemas.

“Chunbok Company will exclusively sell these products in Thailand. Golfzon has identified the success potential of simulation golf, or screen golf, in Thailand by operating Ekkamai Shop, its first store in the country,” said company spokesman Yoo Jae-woo.

“Though Thailand provides high accessibility to golf courses at reasonable prices, we could see significant growth potential of golf simulators in this market thanks to outstanding product quality and the support of Golfzon,” Chunbok Company CEO Sikorn Cheeranavanit said in the statement.

Golfzon said the latest agreement will help it increase its foothold in the countries in Asia focusing on those in the Southeast Asian region.

Golfzon simulators have been used by professional LPGA golfers since January this year.

As further business expansion plans, Golfzon said the company will hold an official opening of its third shop, Dec. 17, at MegaBox Mall in Hong Kong. The third shop is installed by GreenLive, its official agent in Hong Kong.

Its products are available in more than 30 countries in Asia, North America, Europe and other continents, Yoo said.
