SAP, the world’s leading enterprise software provider, has released its latest cloud-based computing platform here.
SAP Korea, its local subsidiary, said Tuesday that it launched its new in-memory query engine called “HANA Vora” which the company believes will help companies streamline their management processes.
“In order to succeed in this digital transformation, companies need a platform that enables real-time business, delivers business agility, is able to scale and provides contextual awareness in a hyer-connected world,” said Greg McStravick, general manager and global head of SAP Database and Technology, during a press conference at the Park Hyatt Hotel in southern Seoul, Tuesday.
The company said Vora was launched to democratize data access for developers and interested parties.
The latest in-memory computing platform is expected to help companies simplify their business operations, the company said.
“With the introduction of SAP HANA Vora and the planned new capabilities in SAP HANA Cloud Platform, we aim to enable our customers to become leaders in the digital economy,” he said.
The SAP executive stressed the importance of swift management in the fast-changing digital world.
“Our mission at SAP is to empower businesses to lead the digital transformation in their industry.”
The local subsidiary of the global enterprise solutions provider said Vora will be able to help companies to handle complex problems they face in the big data-based environment.
SAP HANA Vora will be available from the end of this month. It said in a statement that companies in the financial sector, and telecommunication or manufacturing industry will require the service as they are in need of big data analytics tools. The company said it will soon unveil a developer edition of the software.
More than 290,000 customers in 190 countries are using the German-based company’s enterprise resource planning systems.
