KT to launch cloud portal

KT said Sunday that it has launched a business portal based on its cloud computing system, a move aimed at helping its local business partners save costs and improve efficiency.
The "Ucloud Biz Partner Portal" is a platform with its partners for managing systems and checking administrative processes, said company spokeswoman Park Mi-seon.
"This system is intended to improve management efficiency. KT will introduce other supportive programs as part of its efforts for balanced growth with partners," Park said.
After the Ucloud solution became operational using a virtualized server system, it significantly reduced the amount of service charges, according to the company.
"Partners don't have to invest money and time to build sites for managements as the Ucloud solution is competitive in terms of pricing," she added.
