Samsung Electronics Wednesday introduced its latest smart camera NX300 in a bid to strengthen its foothold in the camera market.
The company said that the camera, which was first seen at this year’s tech fair in Las Vegas, is equipped with a lot of wow features.
``The NX300 supports `hybrid auto focus (AF)’ technology, which supports super shutter speed equal to a DSLR camera,’’ it said in a statement, Wednesday.
The camera also comes with the new 3D-capable one-lens system, which captures still and full high-definition (HD) video in three dimensional format (3D).
It said the camera is also equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing the device to share photos with iOS and Android devices via the ``Smart Camera App.’’
Images can be automatically backed-up or stored in cloud computing through the ``AllShare’’ system. The camera has a 3.3-inch OLED touch screen function. Its retail price is set to be 899,000 won.
``Samsung aims to become a `content creator’ in a real sense with offering unique user experience. We believe the NX300 will lead that way,’’ Han Myung-seop, head of Samsung’s digital imaging division, was quoted as saying in the press release.
