Proof for human sacrifice unearthed

A Possible proof of human sacrifice was unearthed in Mexico, their skulls, to be exact.

The newly found 150 skulls date back between 600 and 850.

They lived during the kingdom of Teotihuacan (home to the Pyramid of the Sun), archaeologists said, according to Live Science.

The vast ancient kingdom flourished around A.D 200 to 650, said study co-author Christopher Morehart, an archaeologist at Georgia State University.

He described everything in detail in the January issue of the journal Latin American Antiquit.

Morehart was studying the plumbing system using Google Earth, the software.

"It's absolutely remarkable to find out the evidence of the largest mass human sacrifice in ancient Mesoamerica," said Morehart.

“Most of them were men. They were buried allegedly in wishing autumn’s good harvest.”
