The mobile messenger application, Kakao Talk, is one of the latest success stories from a venture company that is now looking to find a profit model.

The number of Kakao Talk users is nearing 10 million, and the record achievement was made within a year of its launch last March. Around 10 percent are overseas users, from over 200 countries around the world. It means nine out of 10 smartphone users in the country are using the application.
