Photos taken in passing can become difficult to find when they are needed most, but SK Telecom is introducing a feature designed to turn those snapshots into searchable records.

SK Telecom said Monday it is launching A. log, a feature in its A. app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to organize photos taken with Meta AI glasses and Android smartphones.

The feature analyzes information in photos and automatically generates titles, descriptions and tags, allowing users to retrieve images by time or keywords. Photos can be automatically sorted into categories including business cards, receipts, whiteboards, meeting materials, parking locations and posters.

For example, a user who photographs a concert poster can later search for the event using details such as its name, date or location rather than scrolling through a photo library.

Users of Meta AI glasses can connect photos through the A. app by enabling automatic synchronization in A. log. SK Telecom said the feature works with all Meta AI glasses models, including Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.

Android smartphone users can also take pictures through the A. log camera in the A. app or import existing images from their phone’s photo library.

Privacy protections are built into the feature, with sensitive information such as resident registration numbers automatically masked before images are analyzed. SK Telecom said photos are not stored on its servers and remain only on users’ devices.

The company said it plans to connect A. log with A. Note in the future, allowing users to review photos and notes together as part of a broader record of their activities.

A. log is available on Android through an update to the A. app.

SK Telecom said A. log expands the usefulness of devices such as AI glasses by turning moments captured quickly into records that users can revisit and use.
