LAS VEGAS — Samsung SDS is positioning itself at the forefront of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, emphasizing the growing importance of generative AI in reshaping corporate competitiveness.
At CES 2026, Samsung SDS CEO Lee June-hee described the next evolution of AI as agentic AI, a form of intelligence capable of recognizing and executing tasks autonomously. Generative AI is becoming a key driver that determines a company’s competitiveness, going beyond simple technological innovation, Lee said.
The company showcased how AI agents can transform daily workflows across industries, including public administration, finance and manufacturing. A dedicated exhibition space allowed visitors to experience firsthand how AI agents streamline tasks, reduce repetitive work and enable employees to focus on high-value activities.
Lee highlighted Samsung SDS’s full-stack AI capabilities, spanning infrastructure, platforms and solutions.
“We provide global cloud services tailored to our clients’ environments — including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — centered on our Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP),” he said.
Looking ahead, Samsung SDS plans to strengthen its AI infrastructure by introducing Nvidia's B300 graphics processing unit in February, promising high-performance computing optimized for AI workloads.
In a first for a Korean IT company, Samsung SDS has signed a reseller partnership agreement with OpenAI for ChatGPT Enterprise, enabling it to offer customized generative AI solutions to corporate clients.
Lee underscored the company’s role in supporting government AI initiatives, noting that SDS operates a private cloud in the National Information Resources Service in Daegu.
“Through the Samsung Cloud Platform, we provide cloud, AI and GPU services to public institutions,” he said. The company is also spearheading the government-wide AI common foundation and intelligent work management platform project, with plans to expand operations nationwide after trial runs conclude in February.
Lee said AI agents will fundamentally change the way both companies and governments operate. Using Samsung SDS’s collaboration solution Brity Works, which integrates mail, messaging and video conferencing, employees can delegate repetitive administrative tasks to AI while focusing on core duties.
“By leveraging not only common data but also internal administrative documents and institution-held data, we enable accurate, context-aware communication, collaboration and document management,” he said.
