LAS VEGAS — Samsung Electronics on Monday (local time) unveiled the Galaxy Book 6 series, which it describes as its most advanced Galaxy Book lineup to date, featuring enhanced performance powered by the latest Intel processors and significantly improved battery life.

According to the Korean tech giant, the new lineup consists of three models — the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 — offered in two display sizes:14 inches and 16 inches.

Lee Min-cheol, vice president of the Samsung Mobile Experience Division's Galaxy Eco Business Team, expressed strong confidence at a briefing on Sunday, saying the company’s latest product “will deliver top-tier performance unlike anything seen before.”

The Galaxy Book 6 series is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors, built on the company’s advanced Intel 18A process. These chips deliver improved power efficiency and processing performance, while ensuring more stable and consistent operation through enhanced thermal control.

In addition, the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is equipped with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 5070 and 5060 graphics cards, enabling high-speed AI-powered image generation, smooth and vivid video playback and editing, and immersive gaming experiences. Samsung said these upgrades deliver a significantly enhanced visual experience compared to previous models.

The display and audio systems have also been optimized to support the laptops’ powerful hardware. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display supports up to 1,000 nits of HDR brightness, providing intuitive usability for functions such as zooming, scrolling and content navigation, along with stable visibility both indoors and outdoors. With Vision Booster and anti-reflection technology applied, the screen remains sharp and clear even under strong lighting or bright outdoor conditions.

Audio performance has also been upgraded, particularly in the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, which features a six-speaker system consisting of two upward-firing tweeters and four side and back-to-back woofers. This setup delivers crisp high tones and deep bass for a more immersive experience when watching movies, gaming or listening to music.

To support the high-performance hardware, Samsung redesigned the thermal system across the lineup. The Galaxy Book 6 series minimizes operating noise through efficient heat management, ensuring a more comfortable user experience. Notably, for the first time in the Pro lineup, a vapor chamber has been applied to the Galaxy Book 6 Pro, improving heat dissipation and noise control in both the Ultra and Pro models.

The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra also features newly designed Dual Path Outlet Fans that disperse heat through both the rear and sides of the device. A larger heat sink effectively absorbs and dissipates heat generated by the processor and other internal components, helping prevent overheating and performance degradation.

Battery life has been significantly improved as well. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Galaxy Book 6 Pro offer the longest battery life in the Galaxy Book series, supporting up to 30 hours of video playback — approximately five hours longer than the previous generation. Both models also support super-fast charging, allowing the battery to reach up to 63 percent in just 30 minutes.

Despite the performance upgrades, the Galaxy Book 6 series maintains a slim and refined design. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra measures 15.4 millimeters in thickness — 1.1 millimeters thinner than its predecessor — while the 16-inch Galaxy Book 6 Pro is 11.9 millimeters thick, 0.6 millimeters thinner than the previous model.

The series also introduces new AI-powered features. AI Select allows users to access information instantly by selecting text or images directly on the touch screen, while AI Cut Out enables easy background removal from images. Galaxy AI further enhances productivity by understanding user intent to locate files and settings and enabling seamless connectivity across nearby devices.

“True innovation begins with strengthening the fundamentals, as optimized performance ultimately defines the user experience,” said Choi Won-joon, president and chief operating officer of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience Business.

In Korea, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra will be released on Jan. 27, while the base Galaxy Book 6 model is scheduled to launch in March.
