Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) received an award from the Ministry of Health and Welfare for creating jobs and supporting social activities for older adults. GKL is the public operator of the country’s largest foreigner-only casino, Seven Luck, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to the casino operator on Tuesday, the company received the Minister’s Award after topping this year’s ministerial evaluation on Korea’s public agencies’ performance in job creation and social welfare program. The company received the award two years in a row.
“I am very grateful for receiving the award,” GKL President Yoon Doo-hyun said in a press release.
“GKL will continuously do its best to fulfill its duty as a public agency in helping strengthen various social values.
Jointly with the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has evaluated public agencies’ performance in supporting older adults every year.
GKL said the agency received outstanding scores in the evaluation’s job creation, social services and job creation model categories.
