LEIPZIG, STUTTGART, Germany — The Porsche Macan Turbo Electric delivers a blend of sedan-like comfort and powerful driving dynamics, positioning itself as a refined and versatile electric SUV.
The vehicle was test-driven from the Porsche Experience Centre in Leipzig to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, covering a distance of approximately 500 kilometers via Germany’s Autobahn.
One of the most striking aspects of the drive was the cabin’s quietness, even at sustained speeds exceeding 150 kilometers per hour. Despite the SUV’s higher body profile, the electric powertrain's naturally quiet operation provided a high level of comfort that rivaled — if not surpassed — that of a premium sedan.
In unrestricted speed zones, the Macan Electric was pushed beyond 200 kilometers per hour, yet it maintained its composure with only minimal wind noise perceptible inside the cabin.

Despite alternation between high-speed cruising and slow traffic due to congestion along the route, driver fatigue was minimal — a testament to the Macan’s well-balanced suspension and ergonomic interior design.
Inside, the Macan Electric features a clean and modern layout highlighted by a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch central display and a sleek overall digital interface, contributing to an uncluttered and intuitive driving environment.
As a luxury family EV, the Macan Electric shows few, if any, shortcomings. While larger families may prefer full-size SUVs, the interior space is ample for households of three to four people.

A five-hour ride is never an easy task, but the balanced body positioning, along with the quiet cabin, enabled this reporter to feel less fatigue than expected for the one-way trip to the German city of Stuttgart.
The Macan Turbo Electric model boasts a maximum output of 584 horsepower and 115.2 kilogram-meter of torque. This falls short of similar cars like the Taycan, but this was still enough for typical long-distance drives, not to mention ordinary city drives that require less acceleration.
Porsche positioned the electric motor farther to the rear in the high-performance Macan Turbo Electric, achieving a slightly rear-biased weight distribution of 48:52. This setup enhances driving dynamics, offering greater stability and a more powerful performance on the road.
