As consumer preferences evolve, shoppers now consider not only product performance and ingredient quality but also a company’s management philosophy and social values.
This growing trend has given rise to the term "check-sumer," a blend of “check” and “consumer,” referring to individuals who scrutinize brands for their commitment to social and environmental responsibility. In line with this shift, Herbalife Korea has solidified its position as a trusted health and wellness brand through consistent environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) efforts, earning recognition and numerous prestigious awards.
Herbalife Korea’s corporate mission is to support healthy and vibrant lifestyles. The company gained consumer trust by offering science-backed, high-quality products and solutions. Herbalife consistently launches new products aligned with current health trends and designs promotions tailored to seasonal needs. These efforts, along with the company’s customer-focused approach, have further strengthened its brand reputation.
The company’s products are developed based on scientific research by over 200 experts in health and nutrition. To ensure safety and quality, Herbalife follows the "Seed to Feed" principle, overseeing every stage of production from seed to final product. This process is executed through certified facilities both in Korea and abroad. Herbalife Korea also provides personalized solutions through one-on-one coaching and community support via its independent distributors.
Reflecting the brand’s commitment to expanding access to nutrition, Herbalife Korea attracts consumers with seasonal gift sets for occasions like Lunar New Year, Chuseok, Valentine’s Day and the month of May, which is called Family Month in Korea. The company designs promotions that address health needs throughout the year, making nutrition more approachable for consumers.
Beyond product offerings, Herbalife Korea has actively engaged in sponsorship activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and advance the field of nutrition in Korea. In its 10th year of partnership with the Korean Diabetes Association, Herbalife supports diabetes prevention and management. Since 2020, the company has sponsored the annual Fall International Conference hosted by the Korean Nutrition Society, contributing to domestic nutritional science and wellness. Herbalife also supports athletes and organizations, including professional baseball players Lee Eui-ri and Koo Ja-wook, the Kiwoom Heroes baseball team and the Korea Weightlifting Federation, all while promoting healthy lifestyles.

Herbalife Korea is dedicated to social contribution through the Herbalife Family Foundation’s Casa Herbalife program, which has supported various welfare institutions since 2007. These initiatives provide children with balanced nutrition and promote healthy lifestyles. The company also has sustainability initiatives, such as the “Let’s GO-GREEN” resource recycling campaign in partnership with TerraCycle. This campaign recycled used product containers at Herbalife Korea training centers in five cities and provided education on environmental sustainability.
Internally, Herbalife Korea supports employees with a range of welfare programs, including monthly fitness and English education, annual psychological counseling and paid family care leave, including for pet care. The company also offers reduced working hours for parents and supports children’s education from early childhood to university, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Herbalife Korea’s extensive efforts in product quality, social responsibility and organizational culture have earned both local and international recognition. The company received the grand prize in the health supplement category at the 2025 Most Trusted Brand Awards for the 14th consecutive year. It was also awarded the grand prize in the customized wellness category at the 2025 Korea Consumer Appraisal Brand Awards and received the grand prize for the 14th consecutive year at the 2025 Happy Plus CSR Awards for exemplary corporate social responsibility.
Herbalife Korea was also named one of Korea’s 100 Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work (GPTW) for the third consecutive year, winning a total of seven GPTW awards in 2025, including honors for Best Workplaces for Parents and Best Workplaces for ESG Human Rights Management.
“Herbalife Korea will continue to provide excellent products and wellness programs that meet consumer expectations, and will actively fulfill its social responsibilities to continuously build trust,” said Chung Seung-wook, general manager of Herbalife Korea.
