P&G Korea's two newly released baby diapers are gaining traction among consumers in Korea, the consumer goods maker said Monday. They feature the company's trademarked cool care system fit for the country's scorching hot summer season.
The Pampers-branded products let moisture and heat escape more effectively from the diapers, letting babies feel more comfortable in them, according to P&G Korea.
The cool care system helps reduce heat by 1 degree Celsius, compared to other Pampers products. The Pampers Air Cha Cha Summer Panties and the Touch of Nature Summer Panties remain dry and soft for up to 12 hours, reducing moisture-related uneasiness for babies that humidity can cause inside diapers.
The Air Cha Cha Summer Panties focuses on maximizing air permeability. The product has 20,000 air holes, so air is circulated faster inside the diaper. The Touch of Nature Summer Panties is a summer version of its popular Touch of Nature diaper series, characterized by its soft texture. It uses premium cotton on the cover and is dermatologically tested for the skin.
With the launch of these two products, P&G Korea aims to address parents' concerns and ensure that babies can enjoy their daily lives comfortably and without any discomfort during the summer season.
"The two summer diapers — featuring the stronger cool care system — will help babies feel a sense of cooling and freshness even as temperatures rise further," an official from Pampers said. "We will keep reducing concerns from parents, and launch more products for babies to live a comfortable daily life."
According to the outlook by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, 2024 will be among the top five hottest years in history. Climate change is expected to raise demand for clothes and diapers with better air permeability and sweat absorption.
