POSCO, Korea's biggest steelmaker, said it fully normalized operations at its factory in Pohang early Sunday after its facilities were partially suspended in the wake of a fire.

The fire started around 7 a.m. the previous day near a blast furnace at the steelworks in Pohang, 262 kilometers southeast of Seoul. No casualties were reported. It was put out after about two hours.

The fire triggered a blackout that led to the temporary suspension of several mills.

The company said there would be no major impact on production. (Yonhap)
