Range Rover, the luxury flagship sport utility vehicle (SUV) line of Land Rover, is gaining popularity with an increasing number of drivers for its exterior and interior design and driving performance, the automaker said Friday.
The 5th generation All New Range Rover's interior features high-end materials and intuitive technology.
The main control unit has a clear layer structure. The arrangement is intuitive. The steering wheel has a strong horizontal design. They all give a sense of stability.
Most of the interior, including the top of the dashboard and headlining, is carefully finished with leather material.
Hidden-until-lit lighting technology is applied to the back. It is the most modern feature of vehicle design.
The second row with luxurious executive-class seats provides comfort and versatility.
The wheelbase is 75 millimeters longer than the current model.
The third-row seat is a stadium seat sitting 41 millimeters higher than the front seat. The third row has 864 millimeters of legroom.
Advanced speaker technology is another strength of the luxury vehicle. The 1,600-watt Meridian Signature Sound System is where the world's first 60-millimeter speakers are mounted on each of the four main headrests, providing a rich surround sound experience similar to a concert hall.
The third-generation active noise cancellation system monitors wheel vibration, tire noise and engine sound.
The SUV is equipped with all-wheel steering.
The vehicle's independent air suspension separates the interior of the vehicle from the rough road surface.
Land Rover has applied the Pivi Pro infotainment system to the all-new Range Rover. The Pivi Pro is an all-new touchscreen infotainment system that will be included on all Land Rover models from the 2022 model year and beyond.
It is designed to intuitively control vehicles by applying smartphone-like interfaces and the latest consumer technology. It also supports T-map navigation, the most widely used navigation app in Korea.
Land Rover is expected to introduce Range Rover's plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model before the year's end.
It will also launch Land Rover's first battery-electric vehicle model in 2024.
