Samyang collaborates with cable channel for its new instant noodle offering

Samyang Foods is introducing its new Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen in collaboration with local cable network tvN's recent popular entertainment show “Earth Arcade,” the company said Monday.

“Earth Arcade” is a new concept variety TV show featuring four cast members ― young K-pop singers and a comedian. They travel around the world and play various games.

In its eleventh episode aired on Sept. 2, cast members were seen enjoying Samyang Foods' Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen. The food company decided to launch an instant noodle product featuring the games played in “Earth Arcade.”

Samyang will hold an event until Oct. 7 that gives presents to those who successfully find a rabbit character called “Hochi” hidden on its official website. It was one of the games played in “Earth Arcade,” where cast members had to find Hochi, who escaped to Earth from the moon. The gifts include a PlayStation set, mini game consoles, Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen sets and Starbucks beverage coupons.

The food company will also give gifts to those who take photos with its new collaboration instant noodle product and post them on social media. This event will continue until Oct. 7 as well, with gifts including overseas flight tickets, Nintendo Switch OLED Model, gift vouchers and Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen sets.

“We are presenting a limited edition of Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen to celebrate our collaboration with tvN's “Earth Arcade.” We are giving out gifts to those who participate in our marketing events such as plane tickets for overseas trips. We will continue to introduce collaboration works with digital content, using our popular instant noodles in the near future too,” a Samyang Foods official said.
