Hankook Tire aims to become global top-tier company

Hankook Tire & Technology is becoming a global top-tier company with its development of original technologies and continuous R&D investments. It is establishing a superb portfolio so as to build high-performance sports tire models that can supply global carmakers, ranging from electric vehicles (EV) to pickup trucks.

The Hankook Technodome plays a key role in strengthening the company's R&D capabilities, being at the core of achieving technological innovations and the highest-quality tires. From the facility, located in Daejeon, numerous partnerships have been inked with global premium brands, including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. The company is currently supplying 46 global car manufacturers and around 320 vehicle model lineups, proving once again that it has world-class technology and brand value.

Hankook Tire's sports car brand has equipped Porsche's Panamera four-door sports sedan and 718 Boxter sports roadster, as well as the Taycan electric sports car and the Cayenne and Macan sports premium SUVs.

Porsche's sports models guarantee smoothness in highway driving and are equipped with Hankook Tire's tires for maximum performance, fulfilling their role in the luxury premium tire sector.

In addition, the company supplies diverse premium Audi vehicles, including the RS Q8, the coupe sedan RS7, the RS6 Avant, the RS4 Avant, the RSS coupe, the TT RS, the Q8 and the New Audi SQ8 TDI, while continuing to strengthen its partnership with the firm.

In BMW's high-performance models, the company supplies the M series, the X3 M, the X4 M, the New 7 Series and the M4 GTA. It also supplies the Mercedes-Benz premium SUV GLC, GLC Coupe and Mini JCW GP3, as well as Tesla's Model Y and Model 3, which lead the global EV market.

The company also supplies eco-friendly tires for Italy's FIAT Panda compact model, the FIAT 500, as well as off-road tires for General Motors' bestselling pickup trucks, the Chevrolet Silverado heavy duty and the GMC Sierra heavy duty.

Recently, the company inked supply deals with rising Chinese EV brand NIO to supply tires for key models such as the ES6 and EC6, as well as Malaysia Perodua's best-selling models the Axia and Bezza.
