Hanwha Galleria to open 2nd luxury hall

Hanwha Galleria Timeworld, which runs a department store in Daejeon, will open the second Galleria Luxury Hall in 2019, benchmarking the first at the main store in southeastern Seoul, Hamhwa Galleria said Wednesday.
The retailer is seeking to attract French and Italian luxury brands and fine-dining restaurants to open stores in the new luxury hall.

It will also renovate the exterior of the department store to make it a landmark building in the city.
Hanwha Galleria Timeworld wants the move to help it make a “quantum jump” for the future.
The company has seen a 7 percent annual growth in sales on average over the past 10 years.
According to Hanwha Galleria, the Timeworld branch has been regarded as the top department store in the area, since Hanwha Group acquired Timeworld in 2000.
