South Korean bio tech company Theragen Etex is promoting its gene sequencing prowess and related products and services at the 2018 American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), which began at the San Diego Convention Center, in the U.S., on Tuesday (local time) for a five-day run.
Theragen Etex Bio Institute is running a promotional booth catering to bio technology experts and potential clients from around the world.
ASHG, founded in 1948, is one of the world's most highly regarded academic organizations for human genetics specialists. It has nearly 8,000 members including researchers, academics, laboratory practice professionals, genetic counselors and nurses, according to its

During the event, the South Korean company expects to win new orders or clients in the fields of whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing and bio informatics.
“Our cutting-edge technologies have drawn keen attention from around the world. We will fully take advantage of this to win new foreign clients,” a Theragen official said.
Theragen Etex, with headquarters in Suwon, south of Seoul, offers a range of genetic test kits and healthcare services. It was the first South Korean company to draw a complete human genome map in 2009.
