The Korea Insurance Development Institute (KIDI) has opened an

English-language website

providing accident history of used cars reserved for export.

The website, named “Car History” will help prevent cars with accident history from being sold to overseas drivers, the institute said. The website presents results based on payment data from domestic insurers.

The website charges 2,200 won ($2) for a search, while searching for data on water-damaged cars is available for free. Visit

carhistory.kr
