Huons raided over kickbacks

South Korean prosecutors have raided pharmaceutical company Huons’ headquarters over alleged kickbacks to doctors and pharmacists.

Investigators from the Busan Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office raided the company on Monday afternoon and secured computer hard drives, accounting books and other material.

A Huons spokeswoman said the company was raided, but denied any link to kickbacks.

Under the law, all parties, including pharmaceutical companies, pharmacists and doctors, can be punished for giving or receiving kickbacks.
