Hyundai Oilbank plants accident-free for 1007 days

Hyundai Oilbank has reported no industrial accidents in its plant operations for 1,007 days since Oct. 31, 2013, equivalent to 7 million man hours.
Hyundai Oilbank is the nation’s first refinery to operate its plants without accident for more than 1,000 days.
“Despite difficult circumstances, including the mixed Xylene plant construction project, Hyundai Oilbank workers have achieved a monumental safety record of no accidents in 7 million man hours,” Hyundai Oilbank President Moon Jong-bak in the company’s in-house newsletter.
“Hyundai Oilbank workers will continue striving for a safe workplace to achieve a 10 million man-hour record.”
Back in January, Hyundai Oilbank beat the company’s previous record of 810 days, and has been continuing its streak. If it continues its no-accident streak, it is expected to break the record by fall 2017.
