Maeil Dairies unveils new ready-to-drink caffe lattes in three flavors: mild, chocolate and caramel macchiato.

Maeil Dairies has introduced three new ready-to-drink (RTD) caffe lattes that offer a richer flavor than existing ones, attracting keen attention from coffee lovers.

The 330-milliliter caffe latte, under the firm’s Café Latte brand, comes in three flavors: mild, chocolate and caramel macchiato, and is priced at 1,900 won.

“Our Café Latte brand is the country’s first RTD coffee brand, which has built a huge customer base over the years,” a Maeil Dairies spokesman said. “To better serve our customers, we decided to launch new caffe lattes that provide a richer milk flavor.”

The company will also ship the drinks to China, the United States and other countries to nurture its Café Latte brand as one of the world’s major names in RTD coffee drinks, it said.

Large-size RTD coffee drinks that contain more than 300 milliliters account for only 9 percent of the market. But beverage firms are recently rushing to launch large-size coffee products to capitalize on the growing number of people consuming large quantities.

“We brew only high-quality coffee beans through a speedier process to keep their rich flavor, and add more milk to create a mild taste at the same time,” the spokesman said. “We then add Belgium raw chocolate or caramel syrup to create the other varieties. Consumer response has been very positive.”
