KT&G introduces ESSE Special Gold 0.5mg

KT&G has introduced the ESSE Special Gold 0.5mg, the latest super-slim cigarette with a three-layer filter, to appeal to the growing number of Korean smokers who prefer a mild taste.

The country’s largest cigarette maker said it used only premium, high-quality tobacco leaves and the three-layer charcoal filter. The company has been offering the ESSE Special Gold 1mg and the ESSE Special Gold 3.5mg.

“With the introduction of the ESSE Special Gold 0.5mg, consumers now have more to choose from,” a KT&G official said. “Like its two earlier versions, I believe that our latest product will be well received by consumers.”

KT&G is also offering the limited premium edition of the ESSE Special Gold 0.5mg, which comes in a hard case. “We will sell only 20,000 packs of the limited edition,” the official said.

Both the ESSE Special Gold 0.5mg, priced at 5,000 won per pack, and its limited premium edition, priced at 10,000 won, contain 0.5 milligrams of tar and 0.05 milligrams of nicotine per cigarette.
