Long-loved cookie Crown Sando, made by Crown Confectionery since 1956, may be what an Oreo is to a Westerner.

But for the first time in its 60-year history, the company’s staple cookie has had a makeover.

In replace of the existing flavors of cream, strawberry and chocolate, the company has introduced three new tastes that hint strongly of cream cheese. They

are sweet milk (cream cheese with mascarpone), strawberry cream cheese and chocolate vanilla.

Crown said the price will be same, but it will sell smaller packages (81 grams) for 1,200 won. The largest package, 323g, sells for 4,400 won, while the 161g package is 2,200 won.
