Chong Kun Dang has formed a partnership with Pfizer to sell the latter’s two glaucoma medicines in Korea, the company said Thursday.
Under the partnership, Seoul-based Chong Kun Dang will start selling Pfizer’s Xalatan and Xalacom from later this month.
Xalatan is the best-selling glaucoma medicine here, while Xalacom provides better treatment, according to the company.
“In an aging society, we expect to see more people with glaucoma,” said Chong Kun Dang CEO Kim Yeong-ju. “We will increase sales of the two products significantly through our extensive sales network.”
A Pfizer executive said the deal will help expand the two medicines’ presence in the Korean market.
