Daewoo E&C starts premium Prugio apartment sales in Guri

Daewoo Engineering & Construction has begaun sales of its latest Prugio apartment complex “Guri Galmae Prugio” that offers large sized apartments in Guri, Gyeonggi Province.

Prugio is the company’s flagship housing brand, introduced in 1994.

Guri Galmae Prugio, located in Galmae residential area C1 block, offers 921 apartments in 10 buildings ranging from 84-142 square meters in area.

The C1 block is the slot of land that is only permitted to build big apartments. During bidding for apartments in the C1 block in March last year, competition reached 120 to 1.

“Some 460 apartment or nearly half of what we provide are mid- and large-sized apartments, 99 square meters and up. Given that the number of big sized apartments, including ours, takes just 4.6 percent of all new apartment offered in the area, the big apartments holds rarity and premium,” said a company official.

He says the 99 square-meter apartment, the specialized size Daewoo offers, targeting people who think commonly available 84 square-meter apartment is too small yet the 110 square-meter is too big, is another big advantage of the new Prugio apartment.

“Unlike the past, when people preferred certain mass-produced apartment sizes, now more customers are looking for diverse sizes meeting their individual lifestyles and needs. It creates niche market for us,” added the official.

Guri Galmae Prugio boasts easy access to the metropolitan area. Galmae comes within the living space of Seoul Metropolitan City. It is just 300 meters away from the city boundary of Seoul and has both Seoul City Hall and Gangnam –Gu Office within 14 kilometers. Yet, by having Beollae New City in Namyangju in the vicinity, residents can also enjoy the newly developed city’s living infrastructure.
