Japan will host a Sewage Works Exhibition from July 30 to Aug. 2 that will introduce new maintenance technology for sewage systems.
Some 323 companies around the world will participate on sharing know-how in design, construction, inspection, operation of sewers on show at Big Sight Convention Center in Tokyo.
“Sewage maintenance technology has improved and it serves as a source for coolant water, as well and other green energy,” said Hisataka Sokawa, president of the Japan Sewage Works Association that is organizing the event. “A massive amount of energy is consumed to produce water, and the situation applies to not only Japan but also to other countries. And sewage systems offer a key to solve the challenges we face.”
Of the programs, the “Asian Session” has been arranged to promote professional network-building among Asia sewage professionals including engineers. An “Exhibition Site Tour” will highlight sewage works in Japan for visitors from abroad.
