British American Tobacco (BAT) Korea said Friday it will sell Dunhill Finecut Superslims at 2,500 won ($2.40) a pack beginning Jan. 17, down from the current 2,700 won.
Other Dunhill Kingsize products will continue to be sold at 2,700 won.
The decision to alter the price reflects current market trends, with Superslims rival products such as Esse and Virginia Superslim costing 2,500 won.
We decided to reposition the price of Dunhill Finecut Superslims to 2,500 won, said BAT Korea CEO Guy Meldrum. We believe the price change will provide a wider choice for consumers who are seeking premium products in a more affordable price range.
Launched in 2007, Dunhill Finecut Superslims has been the fastest growing brand among all BAT Korea th products.
The essential quality and taste of the cigarette remains unchanged. It will continue to be blended with over 15 different types of tobacco leaves selected from around the world.
